Day 4

Things have been going good here. We have stayed busy by going to the beach, seaworld, stroller strides and the movies. Dillon has done well except for when we pull up to the house even though Steve's car is there when we leave he always gets excited when we pull up and it is there. He starts saying daddys home mom daddys home. I know he will get use to it but it does make things a bit harder. Breanna is climbing now she can climb up on to our futon and ottoman. It is unreal to think how big she is getting. Anytime I get discouraged over this deployment I just look at the children and am able to see how time flys by and I know Steve will be home before I know it. It really seems like yesterday I had Dillon and now he looks at me and says I love you mom mom, I love you more mom mom. Sweet little Brea really was born like yesterday and yet she is truly about to take her first step. It is totally unreal. If I can figure out how to get videos up here I will post the video of princess climbing up the couch like a cat lol.

Deployment Day

Well, he is gone but all in all the day could not have gone better. Dillon started to have a breakdown but got over it with the help of a bribe and friends. We none cried or fought so all was how it shoudl have been. We ended up standing with some friends while the guys where on the ship and Dillon loved playing with them. After the ship left we went to Mcdonalds with our friends and the kids played together as though their daddy's had not just left for 6 months. I am doing well or maybe it just hasn't hit me.

Deployment

Well, we are doing all we can to prepare ourselves and the children for the inevitable. I hope it is enough. So far we have made a huge wall calendar with pictures of Steve up all around it with the kids and little sayings like daddy loves you and so on. We are ordering dolls from hugahero.com this week. I ordered comfort quilts from the military YMCA they put 9 pictures on kid quilts of Steve and each kid. they will each have one. Last night we went to the ship and took lots of pictures of where Steve sleeps, eats, works, and plays and i made a book from shutterfly to read to them. Saying things like this is where daddy sleeps remember how small it is and uncomfortable. Dillon thinks the ship is cool so i wanted him to know it is not so cool for daddy. He cried when we left he wanted to go with daddy. I am not looking forward to Saturday since he will see all the other wives and children crying I am thinking it is going to be harder then i can even imagine but am hoping it will not be. As far as Steve and I go we are more focused on the kids. It is very hard on all of us and none of us are looking forward to it.

Sorry

Sorry I have not updated in a while. My computer broke and bestbuy kept it forever and then just gave me a new one. I just got the new one today and now have to get use to it and get pictures on it. There are a whole lot of picture from Christmas.
A little update on Breanna is she is 9 months and 4 days old. She can stand all by herself for atleast 20 seconds. She can pull herself in to standing without holding on to something. She really is getting a personality. We took her o the doctor today and she weighed 9 months 7 ounces. Was 28 inch's long. Oh and.....HEHEHE she is saying MOMMA. She only says it when she is upset or wants something but it is so cute. I will try and video it soon.
Steve is about to deploy so things a very crazy right now for all of us.
Oh and we got a little beagle puppy. He is a handful but so sweet and smart. It is Steves present to dillon hoping it gives him something to have and play with while he is gone. He is feeling pretty guilty about leaving and is doing everything he can to make sure we all adjust the best we can.
